Gillette Portrait Arts is owned and operated by Raye Gillette-Whaley. Having recently moved from Boulder, Colorado to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Raye opened her Snow Hill studio in September of 2003. The mission of Gillette Portrait Arts is to bring a different approach to traditional portraiture ~ to capture spontaneity in everyday events and to bring an artistic eye to special, once in a lifetime occasions. A graduate from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Raye defines her style as Fine Art Portraiture. Whether photographing a wedding, a child’s birthday party or a portrait in a more formal studio setting, the goal remains the same: to capture imagery full of interest, emotion and of a timeless quality.
